Newport Loyalty Days Parade
Shangri-La participated in this year’s Newport Loyalty Days parade in Newport, Oregon, with a float all decorated in red, white and blue. The parade, held on Saturday, May 1, 2010, was in recognition of the heritage of American freedom.
Shangri-La’s float won the Mayor’s Trophy and was built and decorated by a group of 12 employees, consumers, volunteers and friends.
We would like to especially thank Anthony from the Coastal Firewood for coming up with the design and construction of the float.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing homes, jobs and supports to Oregonians with disabilities or economic challenges.
