Shangri-La held it’s third Learn, Teach & Act Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 1 and 2, 2010 at the Red Lion Hotel in Salem, Oregon. As with the previous conferences, this year’s conference was a chance for Shangri-La’s staff and stakeholders to meet and greet, as well as learn how Shangri-La is doing as an organization and where it is heading in the near future.

Training sessions throughout both days provided ample opportunities to learn new skills and participate in lively discussions. Session presenters included Robin Rose, Mara Woloshin, George Braddock, Consumer Credit Counseling, Teri Marsh and Shangri-La’s CEO, Jan Kral. Session topics ranged from “Staying Resilient & Professional Under Pressure” to “Building Enduring Relationships” and “Managing Your Finances”.

The conference finished with a dinner and dance to celebrate Shangri-La’s accomplishments in the last 18 months. Thank you to all who attended and helped make this conference a success!
