Shangri-La’s Housing program for people with developmental disabilities held a picnic on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Coolidge-McClaine Park in Silverton, Oregon. Consumers from the various homes in the Willamette Valley and even some from the Coast enjoyed a wonderful day at the park.

The weather couldn’t have been better and the socializing was great too. Many of the clients participated in the various activities through out the day, such as, face painting, bead work or Bingo, while others gathered around a video screen to watch a slideshow showing photos of Shangri-La’s DD Housing Program events that have taken place in the last 3 years. Picnickers were also treated to snow cones, popcorn and hamburgers hot off the grill.
