Rep. Kotek with new friend Gordon and Jan Kral, Shangri-La Corp. CEO, visiting Arild’s House, a Shangri-La home supporting people who are medically fragile.
Shangri-La, The Oregon Rehabilitation Association and the Oregon Council on Developmental Disabilities hosted a briefing and tour for Representative Tina Kotek, D, District 44, NW Portland.

She is known for her compassionate and analytical skills and can take pride in her leadership and contributions that have created smart solutions for many of Oregon’s thorny problems.
The briefing and tour are typical of Representative Kotek’s approach to problem solving; she develops a clear understanding of the scope of the issues she faces as she engages in the financial problem solving process that has plagued the Oregon Legislature for years.
At her briefing, Representative Kotek learned about the system that serves children and adults with developmental disabilities. Presenting information and answering her many questions were Tim Kral – Oregon Rehabilitation Association, Nan Heim – Nan Heim Associates, Katherine Weit – Oregon Council on Developmental Disabilities and Jan Kral – Shangri-La Corporation.
